It was a light day of reading, as I knew it would be. It's NFL playoffs, and the best coach EVER was surprised with the announcement of his trip to Canton. That was awesome!! Yes, I'm a Steelers fan.
Anyways, books. Only read one on Saturday, before games got started, and started what will probably be my final book of Bout of Books 27, though with more football, I'm not sure I'll finish it or not. We'll see.

Challenge - I LOVE recommending books. It's one of my favorite things to do. Don't come to me if you just want a book or two, I'll recommend 50 books before I recommend less than 5. When I was active on Reddit I often posted on the Book Recommendations subreddits. I hardly take/ask for recommendations though, as I'm pretty picky on what I read and I tend to find plenty of books on my own to read. I read a variety - from Middle Grade (even though I'm in my 40s) to Sci-Fi to Erotica to Mystery to Fantasy. There's not much I don't read. I basically don't read Chick-lit, religious shit and sob fests. Anything else, if it sounds good, I'll read it. Need some recommendations? Leave me a comment and I'll hit ya back!
Day 3 of Bout of Books was another day of reading mixed with editing. I finished my big edits of my book. Woooooo!! The book changed a lot from what I had originally as both I have learned and grown as a writer, and with some recommendations to expand the beginning. Previously, the book was around 80k and now it's at 91k, or around 260 pages. Too bad I can't count my own work for Bout of Books. Today, I'll start listening to it with text-to-speech for more edits. After that, back to beta readers. Anyone interested? I joined Twitter (even though I dislike it) for promo for my book - when I get them out. So, I posted the in 6 words prompt, but here it is again:
Naughty little reader, gamer and writer!
Day 1 was all about short stories. I like to spread short stories out between longer books but yesterday they kept my attention, so I kept with them. One set was the first few books in the Nameless series by Dean Koontz, and the other were the short stories in the Joe Ledger series by Jonathan Maberry which I'm really enjoying. I always like when long series give you smaller glimpses into the world.
In all, I finished 9 short stories (the shortest around 30 pages, the longest 154 pages - one not listed below due to it being combined into a larger book, but I had the shorter individual one no longer listed) and read for 8.5 hours. A good start to Bout of Books. I don't know that I'll read as much on Day 2. I want to finish up my current edits of my book - Natural Exposure (see more info about that here) but we'll see.
